Set aside your judgments for 1 “Do not judge so that you will not be judged. 2 For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

Rest now. You deserve it.

    • I met Al in person only once (at a rescue fundraiser, of course), but have "known" him since the days of the PACCA/PAWS forum, virtual home of so many Philadelphia fosters & volunteers. The world has lost a kind and great-hearted person -- we need so many more like him. R.I.P., Al ... I know you were welcomed by the hundreds -- if not thousands -- of creatures whose lives you changed.

    • These days we make friends on the internet and sometimes never meet. In 8 years of “knowing” Al I have learned so much about myself, Him, and his work. I have learned that there are people out there that would give their all to help those in need and unfortunately I also learned that there are people that would take all to benefit themselves. ☹️ I pray for justice and that Al’s legacy continues on

    • Al, you were one of the sweetest men I have ever met. Your passion for animals, particularly cats was inspiring and helped so many lives, 4 legged and 2. It’s going to take more than 10 people to fill your shoes if they can. You were taken from us and this earth in a way that no man, no veteran should,by a coward. Philly will not rest until your murderer is caught. Peace, Paws & Licks my friend.

You had so many years left to live, in a few months you would have retired and spent more time on your Harley and rescuing cats (maybe getting more tattoos? (joke). My heart aches that you were taken from us way too soon and I pray you find peace. God Bless You and enjoy Heaven, I KNOW you are there with ALL of your furbabies who went ahead.
